A Charitable Group Dedicated to Benefitting Their Community

The East Fresno Rotary Club Welcomes You

What do we do?

The East Fresno Rotary Club is a charitable group of local business people dedicated to benefitting their community through service and charitable fundraising. The Rotary motto “Service Above Self” conveys the ideals that guide our membership. The following are a few examples of the projects that we support throughout the year.

Club President’s Message | Nathan Metheny

Welcome to East Fresno Rotary where we are dedicated to achieving a significant impact in our community and the life of each member by:

  • being active in service,
  • strong in relationships,
  • and generous in support

Additionally, we provide business and professional leaders of all vocations and backgrounds an opportunity for service to benefit our community and promote high ethical standards, fellowship, and goodwill.

Our club was established in 1956 and built around the Five Avenues of Service:

  • Club Service – the opportunity to interact and connect with other members of our club
  • Community Service – the ability to support projects and other charitable organizations in the Fresno area through contributions and “hands on” endeavors
  • International Service – the possibility to make an impact beyond our borders partnering with other Rotary clubs around the world
  • Youth Service – the ability to enrich the lives of students through scholarship while exposing them to Rotary by sponsoring on campus Rotaract and Interact Clubs
  • Vocational – the chance to build professional relationships with community leaders who share common values

Rotary is unique in that it allows each member to explore their individual passions while being supported by other likeminded members.

We meet each Wednesday at noon at Tornino’s Banquet Hall at 5080 N. Blackstone, Fresno, CA. You will find our meetings to be interactive, informative and invigorating. I promise you that we will start on time and end promptly at 1:30. We value your time and want to maximize the return on the time you spend with us.

I am a Proud Member of East Fresno Rotary and I am honored to serve as Club President for 2019 – 2020. If you are looking to:

  • Join leaders
  • Exchange ideas
  • Take action

I invite you to explore being a part of what we accomplish each year.

I can be contacted by email at Nathan@vwpc.us

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sponsored by East Fresno Rotary since 1975, the Cioppino Dinner is the club’s major charitable fundraiser for the year. With nearly 100% of the proceeds funneling back into the community, the East Fresno Rotary Foundation will be able to donate over $55,000 in this coming year. Prep for the dinner begins early in the morning as club members clean, cut and prepare all the dishes served that evening. Learn More

polioEnd Polio Now

We are this close to ending Polio. Rotary International launched the PolioPlus Campaign to eradicate Polio in 1985. What was once a worldwide disease is now in only four countries and Rotary has played a major role in the attempt to eliminate this disease off the face of the earth forever. Learn More
